President Donald Trump has a long history of not listening to anything his aides and advisors tell him, but his latest public outburst is one that he may wish he had heeded their advice on and not said.
At Monday night’s Houston, Texas rally in support of Senator Ted Cruz’s re-election bid, Donald Trump went ahead and admitted he is a “nationalist.”
“A globalist is a person who wants the globe to do well, but frankly not caring about our country so much,” he said.
He added, “They have a word that has become old fashion. Nationalist and they say we do not support the use of that word, but you know what I’m a nationalist.”
The crowd roared and erupted in chants of “USA USA USA.”
